Letters to the Editor

Dear Dr. Claff,

Thanks so much for your articles. I find them a refreshing review of my organic chemistry. I have been a full-time translator for 8 years, concentrating on pharmaceuticals as much as possible in the last 3 years. My husband (Catalan-born) and I have been living in Barcelona for almost 13 years.... ... I am also a graduate of MIT (S.B. in 1979, Course X, chemical engineering)...

Thanks once again. I plan to keep your files handy, right next to my old textbooks and other reference materials.

Helen Chihoski Casas, Barcelona, Spain

Dear Ms. Greiss,

Your article about translation in the Translation Journal ... was an inspiration to me. I am writing to you because I have some questions about translating that I hope you'd be willing to answer....

Hi, Susanna,

I just finished reading your article in [the Translation Journal] and decided to let you know how much I enjoyed it. It's nice to be able to read about such a wonderful life and take some of that experience and guidance to our daily work. Keep up the wonderful job you have been doing over the years, sharing all that expertise with us...

Else Anderson, Atlanta, GA, USA

Your article in the April issue of the Translation Journal was excellent. I am a bilingual (English and Arabic) columnist in two Saudi-Arabian papers. I would like to know some writers like you. Thanks, and good to know you.
